‘Priorities we’re working on in Yerevan matter everywhere’ – Justin Trudeau on summit’s Day 1

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has recapped Day 1 of the XVII Summit of La Francophonie in Yerevan.

“The Francophonie Summit is an opportunity to work on what matters for French-speaking people around the world – and of course the priorities we’re working on here in Yerevan matter *everywhere.* Here’s a look at Day 1”, he said on Twitter, posting a video of the first day of the Summit.

Delegations from 84 countries and leaders of 38 countries have arrived to take part in the summit.

Yesterday Armenia assumed chairmanship of the La Francophonie Summit from Madagascar.

Yerevan is hosting the XVII International Organisation of La Francophonie summit in 2018.
