In the first quarter of the current year 411 children were born in the healthcare institutions of the Artsakh Republic’s Ministry of Health.

The total birth rate in Artsakh in the first quarter of 2019 made 431 children, 214 of them are boys and 217-girls. 411 children were born in the Republic of Artsakh and 20-in the medical institutions of the Republic of Armenia.
336 children were born in the Mother and Child Health Maintenance Center of Stepanakert. The highest birth rates were recorded in the Martakert Medical Center- 37 children, followed by Martuni- 28, Hadrut-9, and Shahumyan-1.
