Armenian Community Centre Area Development Plan Enters Crucial Phase

The proposed development plan on Universal Property adjacent to the Armenian Community Centre (45 Hallcrown Place) has reached a crucial decision point.

The developer has submitted a building proposal for several buildings and twin towers of 39 and 44 stories high totaling over 1.1 million square feet and 1,270 residential condominium units.

On April 10, the City of Toronto organized a public consultation meeting to review the planning application at the Edward’s Village Hotel.

Meanwhile the City recently adopted a new Secondary Plan for the Consumers Road Employment area. Thanks to the collective efforts of the ACC, the Secondary Plan has set strict limits on the height and the density of the development. These limits aim to minimize the impact on the community centre, the ARS Day School and the St. Mary Church.
