Armenian Doctors Have Carried Out 394 Surgeries in Syria


Armenian de-miners clear an area of 33,400 square meters in Syria

(Armradio) – Armenian de-miners on humanitarian mission to Syria have cleared an area of 33,400 square meters between February 19 and May 30, the Armenian Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise informs.

Meanwhile, Armenian doctors have carried out 394 surgeries, 801 patients have received therapeutic care. Furthermore, 1 354 clinical and laboratory tests have been implemented.

In February 2019 Armenia deployed an 83-member independent humanitarian mission of doctors and de-miners to support and sustain at-risk survivors in Syria.

The report says Syrians often express gratitude to Armenian specialists for the important mission, describing it as “brotherly assistance.”
